DejaOS
An operating system
for access terminals.
DejaOS is our Linux-based embedded operating system built for smart access terminals, HMI and edge devices. It is designed for developers to build customized access, intercom and IoT applications directly on the hardware.
What developers can build
Applications that run on the terminal.
JavaScript is the primary language, and a native C/C++ SDK covers low-level work. Here is what that means in practice.
Access, intercom and IoT applications
Build customized access, intercom and IoT applications directly on the terminal. Use JavaScript for most work, or the native C/C++ SDK for low-level driver and performance-critical development.
Your own device interface
LVGL is the native GUI framework for lightweight, low-power HMI screens. Package language resources and switch the UI language dynamically.
Peripheral-driven workflows
Face camera, NFC / RFID reader, relay, Wiegand, RS485, GPIO, screen, audio, speaker, microphone, ethernet, Wi-Fi and BLE are exposed through APIs.
A fully custom access application
Lock the device to launch only your application and disable the default access UI. A crashing custom app does not stop the underlying access and biometric service.
Branded OEM and ODM devices
On DejaOS developer devices, customize the boot screen, home UI, logo, color theme and menu structure for OEM and ODM partners. Branding of Feocey standard products is discussed separately.
Offline or private-cloud deployments
Run fully offline or connect to your own private cloud or server. There is no mandatory dependency on the Feocey cloud. Push OTA updates to firmware and to individual applications, with version rollback.

- Languages
- JavaScript is the primary language. A native C/C++ SDK is available for low-level work.
- Interface
- LVGL is the native GUI framework.
- Security
- Secure boot, firmware signature verification, encrypted local storage for biometric templates, permission sandbox, application isolation and secure OTA updates.
- Updates
- OTA for system firmware and individual third-party applications, with version rollback.
- Development

DejaOS questions.
What is DejaOS exactly?
DejaOS is our Linux-based embedded operating system built for smart access terminals, HMI and edge devices. It is designed for developers to build customized access, intercom and IoT applications directly on the hardware.
What programming languages can I use to develop apps on DejaOS?
The primary supported language is JavaScript. We also provide a native C/C++ SDK for low-level driver and performance-critical development.
Do I need deep embedded Linux experience to develop on DejaOS?
Not necessarily. The JavaScript runtime abstracts most hardware complexity. Web and application developers can build functions without touching kernel drivers. Low-level work still requires embedded experience.
Can I run my own Linux application on DejaOS?
Yes. DejaOS is open for containerized or native Linux applications, subject to hardware resource and permission policies.
What hardware peripherals can DejaOS expose to developers?
Face camera, NFC / RFID reader, relay, Wiegand, RS485, GPIO, screen, audio, speaker, microphone, ethernet, Wi-Fi and BLE are all exposed via APIs.
Can I replace the original access software completely with my own application?
Yes. You can lock the device to launch only your custom app and disable our default access UI.
Is DejaOS available only on Feocey hardware?
Not every Feocey device runs DejaOS. DejaOS is pre-installed on selected Feocey access-control and video intercom models, so confirm the model with Feocey. Android models such as FCV4906 and FCV5006 are outside DejaOS. We provide a porting service for qualified hardware partners.
What is the difference between DejaOS and ordinary Linux SDK kits from chip vendors?
A chip vendor SDK focuses on chip bring-up. DejaOS is a finished application platform with pre-built access, biometric, video, networking and security stacks, ready for business developers.
Does DejaOS support LVGL?
Yes. We integrate LVGL as the native GUI framework, so you can build lightweight, low-power HMI interfaces directly.
Can we customize the system boot logo, wallpaper, UI style and brand layout?
Yes, on DejaOS developer devices. These are embedded devices you buy and develop on yourself, and branding customization includes boot screen, home UI, logo, color theme and menu structure for OEM and ODM partners. For Feocey standard (off-the-shelf) products, branding or boot-image customization may need separate firmware preparation and a different delivery process, so discuss it with Feocey first.
What security mechanisms are built into DejaOS?
Secure boot, firmware signature verification, local encrypted storage for biometric templates, permission sandbox, application isolation and remote secure OTA updates.
Can we push over-the-air updates to our custom apps?
Yes. The platform supports OTA for both system firmware and individual third-party applications, with version rollback support.
Is there an emulator or simulator for DejaOS development?
We provide a PC simulator for early application logic development. Hardware-related functions need real devices for testing.
What documentation and developer resources do you offer?
We provide API reference, sample code, demo projects, a developer guide, technical tickets and scheduled online developer workshops for qualified partners. The public documentation and the DejaOS GitHub organization cover the developer SDK and examples.
Do you offer a free developer test device?
We do not offer free hardware, but we have discounted developer units for partners who intend to build commercial solutions based on DejaOS.
Can my team sign an NDA to get access to low-level source code?
Core OS source is not open. We can sign an NDA and provide extended technical interfaces, porting packages and deeper technical support for strategic partners. For Feocey standard products, the integration interfaces are open, but their core source code and the source code of Feocey’s attendance and office platform are not open.
Can DejaOS work without connecting to the Feocey cloud?
Yes. It can run fully offline or connect to your own private cloud or server, without mandatory dependency on our cloud service.
What is the typical development cycle for a custom access project on DejaOS?
For a DejaOS development project, a simple custom UI and workflow may take 2–4 weeks. Complex projects with custom peripherals, new biometric algorithms or full system integration usually take 2–4 months. Customization of standard products and OEM / ODM hardware is confirmed per project.
Can we sell our own applications built for DejaOS to other customers?
Yes. Once your application is ready, you can distribute it to end users, system integrators and other partners running DejaOS terminals.
What if my custom app crashes? Does it affect the core access function?
The application sandbox isolates third-party apps. If one custom app crashes, the underlying access and biometric service will keep running normally.
Does DejaOS support multi-language UI?
Yes. You can package language resources and switch UI languages dynamically, including English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and more.
